My Review
After reading several relaxed hair blogs and seeing how popular it seemed to be, I decided to take the plunge and purchase S-Curl. I haven't used this product in 15 years, which is when I began relaxing my hair and thankfully left the curly perm behind.
I bought the 710ML bottle for £7.49 in June 2012 and I am still using the same bottle. I think I have at least another 1 - 2 weeks worth and I also have a 100ml travel bottle which is half full of S-curl from when I went to Amsterdam.
S-Curl has so many uses when it comes to my hair and it is definitely an important staple in my hair regime. I use S-Curl as a leave-in conditioner, to moisturize my hair, and as a regrowth softener.
I am all about air-drying so after rinsing out my deep conditioner and t-shirt drying for 15-20 mins, I then apply S-Curl to my hair from ends to roots. I always use S-Curl along with another leave in conditioner which contains protein for extra strength for my hair.
I use S-Curl to moisturize my hair every night before sealing with avocado oil. During the colder months, I alternate between S-Curl and a thicker buttery moisturizer to ensure my hair doesn't dry out which also helps by wearing protective hairstyles 99% of the time.
Once my hair gets to between 8-9 weeks post, my regrowth can be very dry compared to the rest of my hair. I section my hair into 6 sections from the front of my head to my nape and spray the S-Curl directly onto my regrowth, before massaging it in to ensure the roots are fully moisturized before sealing with African Royale Hot 6 Oil. I do this every 2-3 days depending on how it feels.
I also use S-Curl to moisturize and seal my son's natural hair as he's currently trying to grow his hair into a high-top box.
I absolutely love this product and can't see me ever going with out it...

After our weekend away in Amsterdam, we came back on Sunday and I am still moving in slow motion... I feel like I need an immediate weekend to get over the weekend. We had a great time and I was a good girl and took all my necessary hair products with me to keep my hair feeling and looking good. My hair was in desperate need of a wash as it was weighed down...
These are the steps I followed for today's wash day:
* Light protein treatment using ORS Hair Mayonnaise mixed with African Royale Hot 6 Oil for 25 mins with heat.
* Shampooed my hair using Creme of Nature Argan Oil Shampoo.
* Applied Black & Green Tea Rinse to my scalp and hair then covered with a plastic cap and towel wrap for 20mins.
* Added Creme of Nature Argan Oil Conditioning Treatment and my Oil Mix to tea rinsed hair then deep conditioned for 25 mins with heat.

My boyfriend's birthday is on March 18th and he'll be turning 30. It's a big milestone and he's always wanted to go to Amsterdam, so I have booked for us to go there for a long weekend. Thursday evening will involve packing any last minute things we have forgot and spending quality time with our little man before we go away so I decided to wash my hair today.
* Sectioned my hair into four and sprayed with water to dampen.
* T-shirt dried for 25 mins.
* Applied leave ins; Cantu Shea Butter Leave In & S-curl.
* Sectioned my hair into 4 sections and detangled my hair with my fingers.
* Air-dried using the scarf method.
* Moisturised and sealed with S-Curl and Avocado Oil in four sections.
* Applied castor oil to my scalp in sections.
* I then wrapped my hair and tied with my satin scarf before bed.

Late posting this as I have had a hectic few weeks.
Saturday 2nd March 2013
I have self relaxed before but as my hair has grown longer, I prefer to get it done by someone else. I am lucky to have a friend who is a mobile hairdresser who is happy to come to my home and apply the relaxer to my hair, I get her to do it to ensure I don't over process my hair or miss any sections in the back or nape area.
I used my usual Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Relaxer, no-lye, normal strength. Before my hairdresser came round, I applied castor oil to my scalp and over the lengths of my hair excluding the regrowth.
I followed up with a 45 min deep conditioning treatment using ORS Replenishing Conditioner mixed with Avocado oil, EVOO & Grapeseed oil.
Once my hair was 90% dry, I then moisturized and sealed with S-Curl and Avocado Oil.
This is the first time I have air-dried after relaxing my hair and I am loving the results. It feels so good to be able to run my fingers through my hair with no regrowth in the way.
After having my hair relaxed I like to keep it straight for the first 3-4 weeks so I will be wrapping hair at night and tying down with my faithful satin scarf.
After my recent trim, my hair is back to just past armpit length. As I am adamant not to use any heat on my hair, I haven't even straightened it for a length check or for the slick effect after my relaxer, air-drying and wrapping does the job.
I washed my hair late on Saturday night.... I don't know what is wrong with me but despite my best intentions I always end up waiting until it's late in the day before starting my wash day regime.
These are the steps I followed on Saturday:
* Sectioned my hair into four and sprayed with water to dampen.
* Applied Pure Honey and African Royale Hot 6 Oil to my hair in sections then covered with a plastic cap for 25 mins with heat.
* Co-washed my hair using Herbal Essence Hello Hydration.
* T-shirt dried for 25 mins.
* Applied leave ins; Creme of nature Argan Oil Leave In; S-curl and homemade moisturising mist applied to my regrowth.
* Sectioned my hair into 4 sections and detangled my hair.
* Air-dried using the scarf method.
* Moisturised and sealed with Olive Oil & Mango Butter and Avocado Oil in four sections.
* Applied castor oil to my scalp in sections.
* I then put my hair in a bun and wrapped it with my satin scarf before bed.
