I had no intention of washing my hair until Monday as I am off work and I intended on giving it some TLC with no rush. However after being inquisitive about an aloe vera mist I'd read about last night and rushing straight to the bathroom to make up my own, rather than being overjoyed with the results, my hair felt hard and weighed down (I will do a post on this disaster in my next post).
I went to Tottenham today to watch the Spurs vs Arsenal game this afternoon and it's a 90 minute drive so I knew from last night that I'd have to get up early to wash my hair and be ready to leave the house by midday.

Instead of picking up the phone and making any hasty appointments, I decided to dust my hair myself. My ends were not terrible, they just needed the very ends to be trimmed.
I combed through my hair to ensure there were no tangles and then parted my hair down the middle. On each side I sectioned my hair into 4 sections, twisting them as I went along. Then going through each section I re-twisted the hair and using my hair scissors I trimmed off the short stray ends which stuck out along the length of the twists.
To trim my ends, I parted my hair into four sections, securing each section with a clip so I could deal with one section of hair at a time. Pulling the section of hair taut, I gently clamped the hair between my fingers running them down to ends leaving 0.5cm of the ends which I trimmed off. I went through and did this to each section.

| This is the amount of hair taken off from the whole head. Pretty Painless! |
Call me crazy but just taking off half a centimetre made my hair feel healthier and thicker. I will continue to dust my hair as and when it is needed.

I had keyhole surgery on Saturday 8th March and have been signed off for 2 weeks so I didn't rush to wash my hair on Sunday as I knew I could do it the day after plus I was feeling a bit sore after the general anaesthetic had worn off so even if I wanted to I wouldn't of been able to wash my hair.
For this wash day, these are the steps I followed:
For this wash day, these are the steps I followed:
I placed my new oil mix (consisting of; olive oil, avocado oil, peanut oil and coconut oil) in a cup of boiling water for a minute or so before applying it to my hair from root to tip. Covered my hair with a plastic cap and also my towel turban. I left this on my hair for 45 minutes and then rinsed.
I deep conditioned my hair with Creme of Nature Argan Oil Intensive Treatment conditioner mixed with Avocado Oil. I used heat with my hair therapy wrap for 20 mins then swapping the wrap for my towel turban and then left my hair to condition for another 30 minutes before rinsing.
T-shirt dried for 45 mins. by accident as I was getting into daytime television.
I went on to use the LOC Method; I sprayed my hair with Creme Of Nature Argan Oil Leave In and Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter H2 Leave In Conditioner then applying a few drops of Creme of Nature Argan Oil Treatment before detangling my hair with a wide teeth comb. Once detangled I applied EQ Olive Oil & Mango Butter Moisturiser to seal in the oil. I used my soft bristle brush to gently brush my edges before using the scarf method to airdry
Before bed I moisturised and sealed my hair with Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Moisturizer and Grapeseed Oil in four sections and then put my hair in a loose pin curl and covered with my satin scarf.

It's been a few weeks since I updated my wash day diary but I have kept notes and here are the steps I followed for this wash day:
I did a protein treatment as a pre-poo on my hair using ORS Olive Oil Hair Masque. I applied to this to my roots as you would if you were applying a relaxer with the applicator brush. Once I had covered my roots, I used my hands to smooth the hair masque down the lengths of my hair. Covered my hair with a plastic cap and also my towel turban. I left this on my hair for 15 minutes and then rinsed.
For my first wash I used ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo to clarify my hair and for the 2nd wash I used Keracare Hydrating Shampoo.
I deep conditioned my hair with Keracare Humecto conditioner mixed with Avocado Oil. I used heat with my hair therapy wrap for 20 mins then swapping the wrap for my towel turban and then left my hair to condition for another 30 minutes before rinsing.
I then sprayed my hair with Montibel.lo Gold Oil Essence Leave In and Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter H2 Leave In Conditioner then applying a few drops of Creme of Nature Argan Oil Treatment before detangling my hair, once detangled I blow-dried my hair using cool air ONLY.
Once dry, I moisturised and sealed my hair with Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Moisturizer and Grapeseed Oil in four sections.
My hair at work the next day!
